Mission Statement: CSLA advocates for excellence in school library programs, develops leaders in the school library field, and collaborates with other educational leaders to ensure that all California students are effective, responsible users and creators of ideas and information.
To ensure that school libraries are supported throughout the state, CSLA is divided into regions. The Northern and Southern Regions are further divided into Regional Sections. (See map.) State, Region, and Section Representatives are elected on an annual basis. All CSLA representatives work together to host informative local, regional, or state events like the upcoming State Conference in San Francisco that you won't want to miss!
Our CSLA Southern Region Workshops are a joint responsibility, with each of the six Southern Region (SR) Sections responsible for a specific domain of planning for the event as well as for providing a raffle gift basket. More information about CSLA Representatives is available on the official CSLA Website.
